Career prospects

There is a high demand on the labor market for civil engineers with a master's degree. In addition to the traditional construction industry, engineering companies in the fields of water and waste management, for example, are specifically looking for Master's graduates for the construction management of infrastructure and technical facilities. This is one of the reasons why 65% of Kassel's bachelor's degree graduates in civil engineering go on to complete the corresponding master's degree.

1.5 years after graduation, most of the master's graduates in civil engineering at the University of Kassel are employed in the (largely private) construction industry (42%) or in engineering offices (18%).

Over 59% of Master's graduates are employed in construction planning/management and technical project management.
