Civil Engineering (Master)

As in the bachelor's program, the three-semester master's program in civil engineering involves offerings from seven specializations: Construction Operations and Management, Structural Engineering, Transportation, Water, Numerical Methods of Structural Design, Traffic Route Engineering and Geotechnics, and Materials.

In the numerous specialized modules of the majors, as well as in an internship, master's students receive extensive training for application in theory and practice. However, the content for Master's students is more research-oriented than application-oriented. Due to the science-oriented and interdisciplinary approach, Master's students have the opportunity to look at topics that are part of the canon of the Bachelor's program in a different way. This results in novel and challenging solutions for practice that go beyond the usual standards. Students can decide for themselves which area they would like to study in depth. There is a variety of topics to choose from, providing room for an individual study profile.

Graduates have excellent career prospects - whether with larger construction groups, in specialized construction offices or in the public sector, whether in the execution or in the economic operation of construction projects - and are also qualified for independent scientific research: The master's degree entitles the holder to a doctorate.
