Industrial Engineering (Master)

Successful graduates of the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering and Management combine technical expertise with economic judgment. They are particularly convincing where problem-solving skills and critical thinking across economic and technical disciplines are required.

Building on the bachelor's degree, students sharpen their profile. They can apply the knowledge acquired during their studies directly in professional practice and thus systematically penetrate, analyze and evaluate operational processes. It is also possible to enter the field of scientific research with this degree. Specialization is achieved through the individually selectable study program. Thus, a degree can be achieved according to one's own interests and personal inclinations. In addition, important interdisciplinary key competencies are acquired.

The four-semester program can be started in the summer or winter semester. Admission to the program is not restricted. Admission requirements are a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a subject-related equivalent degree. Knowledge of statistics/mathematics must be demonstrated.

Graduates of the program think and make decisions in an interdisciplinary and cross-functional way. On the job, this can mean taking on personnel responsibility in projects and helping to decide on operational processes. At demanding interfaces, they are contact persons for economic, legal and technical questions.
