Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (Master)

Solar energy, wind power and hydropower are playing an increasingly important role in the supply of electricity and heat. The master's degree program in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency is therefore particularly forward-looking. Here, students who have already completed a degree in an engineering or technology-oriented natural science specialize in order to actively shape the energy transition. Whether industry, politics or research - the graduates are qualified for a wide variety of occupational fields.

In this master's program, students first receive an overview of the essential technologies in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency. In more in-depth courses as well as in the master's thesis, there is the opportunity to specialize further - in a specific area or also with regard to the interaction of different technologies in energy systems.

Unique in Europe, students at the University of Kassel can choose from more than 150 interdisciplinary courses. Participating departments are mechanical engineering, architecture, urban and landscape planning, ecological agricultural sciences, civil/environmental engineering, electrical engineering/computer science. The North Hesse region also has a unique concentration of leading industrial companies, research institutes and educational institutions.
