Combining foreign language, culture and business: The bachelor's degree program "Culture and Business/Hispanic Studies" makes this possible. In six semesters, students not only deal intensively with the language, literature and history of Hispanophone countries, but are also taught business and economics.
The program combines Spanish language, literature, culture and regional studies with an in-depth study of economics. In the area of "Culture and Language", students can choose between two different concentrations: "Transformation Processes" or "Intercultural Communication". The program is characterized by its high practical component. In practical and project modules, students learn to work independently and in an interdisciplinary manner. A stay abroad is an integral part of the curriculum - either as a study semester or as an internship of at least eight weeks in a Hispanophone country. A double degree program with the related program "Culture and Business / French Studies" is an option due to many common modules....
Probably the most important prerequisite for the study program is an enthusiasm for Romance languages - in this case Spanish. Sufficient language skills (language level A2/GER) must be proven before beginning the study program. For the economics part, a good understanding of mathematics and economic contexts as well as analytical thinking skills are required.
