Career prospects

The degree program forms a very good basis both for a doctorate and for management positions in social work. The broad research profile of the Institute of Social Work allows a very individual selection of research internships (also beyond the institute and the University of Kassel). The empirical Master's thesis can also be developed and implemented in close cooperation with a department of the Institute. Thus, students are accompanied on their individual educational path from the first semester on and are strengthened in the development of their own professional scientific profile. In addition to an academic career, professional development perspectives include, for example, working in equal opportunity offices, in anti-discrimination work or as a speaker in educational work.
