What does the future of work look like? And what qualifications are needed to cope with the future demands of the world of life and work? Teachers of labor studies at secondary schools and comprehensive schools have the challenging task of preparing students for their role as consumers and producers in a world characterized by labor.
In their studies, students deal with work as an elementary component of human existence. They deal with current developments in the fields of economics, technology, socio-ecology and labor sciences from the perspective of sustainability. Theory and practice are intertwined in the course of study and thus create the prerequisite for implementing goal-oriented work teaching in the future teaching profession.
