Sustain Groups

The Sustain Group is all about sustainable event management. Our diverse  network looks at the topic from different angles. For example, we have already developed a checklist for sustainable catering. We are currently preparing a framework agreement for sustainable catering with the central materials management department, which is due to be launched at the end of the year. Another project is the creation of guidelines for sustainable event organization at the University of Kassel. In preparation for this, a training course on sustainable event management was organized for secretariats. Another idea we are currently working on is the establishment of a university-wide lending service for event equipment. To this end, we are planning a cooperation with Allerleih e.V.  We cordially invite you to develop these ideas further with us.

Many measures and activities relating to sustainability are still little known within the university. Our Sustain Group would like to create a virtual pinboard, the Sustain Board, as a place where sustainable events, projects and information can be bundled and made visible.  We also want to make the topic of sustainability tangible for everyone with a Sustain Tour of the campus. We cordially invite you to continue planning the projects with us.

There are so many great associations and initiatives in Kassel that deal with the topic of sustainability. We want to make this diversity visible on the sustainability city map for Kassel. Join us and support us in networking & to increase the visibility of all of us! Our aim is to become strong together, promote diversity and enrich each other. The sustainability city plan is just the beginning - let's continue planning together and join the team!
