In the second themed year of the SDG+ Lab "Transformations in urban and rural areas", everything revolves around the sustainable design of urban and rural areas - and the interplay between urban and rural areas. After all, a sustainable future needs liveable, climate-resilient and vibrant places as well as good coexistence - in the city and in the countryside.
The opening exhibition is dedicated to questions of living space, green space and transportation planning for urban and rural areas as well as the recurring question of community. Meeting places that invite people to linger and exchange ideas play a central role. The central element of the exhibition spaces is a parking lot, which is immediately repurposed and converted into a so-called Third Place. Here, visitors can delve deeper into the topics and browse through exciting solutions and reference projects.
