International profile
The University of Kassel sees itself as a European university. It is internationally oriented and globally networked. Internationalisation plays a central role in studies and teaching as well as in research and knowledge transfer. The university laid the foundations for this as early as 2002 in its first internationalisation concept. In it, the university committed itself to pursuing and implementing the objectives of Europeanisation and internationalisation programmatically at all levels. In 2021, the university entered its fifth phase for further internationalisation.
