New drinking water dispenser in the Campuscenter cools you down

The current high temperatures make it clear how important it is to stay well hydrated. To make this even easier, a drinking water dispenser has been installed in front of lecture hall 1 in the Campus Center. In future, you will be able to tap chilled and uncooled tap water into the drinking bottle you have brought with you.

The idea of establishing drinking water dispensers at the University of Kassel has been around for some time. In February, the topic was given new impetus and interested employees and students were brought together in the Green Office's ideas challenge.

Nobody has to worry about the quality of the water at the University of Kassel. The tap water is of top quality and is checked regularly. What's more, it saves a lot of waste and^CO2 when water comes straight from the tap and doesn't have to be transported over long distances.

Suitable locations for further water dispensers are also currently being sought for the other university sites, with plans to install six more devices.

The new drinking water dispenser is listed as an official refill station. The Green Office has also been recognized as a "tap water-friendly office" by a tip:tap e.V. To convince even more people of the benefits of tap water, tap water is served instead of bottled water at Green Office meetings and events.
