Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Julia Gasterstädt!

Dr. Julia Gasterstädt took over as head of the Department of Educational Science with a focus on inclusion and school development in the summer semester. Ms. Gasterstädt completed her doctorate at Goethe University Frankfurt and was a member of the research training group "Inclusion - Education - School" at Humboldt University Berlin. In her research, she examines requirements for the development of inclusive education systems and schools. This involves, for example, questions of governance, reflection on mechanisms of exclusion of pupils and cooperation between parents and schools. An important part of her work is the integration of research findings into school and school-administrative practice. In addition, she pursues international comparative perspectives both in her research and in the context of teaching events
