Acknowledgment
The department encourage and supports students, who want study abroad and achieve some of their credits in abroad. The department express its encouragement and support by acknowledging your achievements from an international university as a part of your study program at the university of Kassel.
The examination board of your study program at Kassel University is responsible for acknowledging your achievements. In order to know which achievements can be acknowledged in your study program at the University of Kassel, please ask the responsible examination board and the responsible professor beforehand. In the learning agreement, the achievements will be enlisted.
Please note the following general rules for acknowledgment at the department of Electrical Engineering / Computer Science:
- In the course of an acknowledgment procedure, it will be examined whether the achievements provided by you from the university abroad are equivalent in terms of content and form to the course of study at the department. In order to acknowledge your achievements from abroad, it is essential to fulfil formal equivalence requirements. This means that the achievements should be equivalent in type and scope to the course of study at theUniversity of Kassel.
- The inclusion of foreign courses in the elective area of a degree program of the University of Kassel is approvable. This also applies to the acknowledgment of courses on topics that are not offered at the University of Kassel, as long as they suit the content of the program.
- The examination procedure for the acknowledgment of achieved credits of foreign courses into the compulsory area of a study program is highly precise, regarding the requirements stated in point 1. As a rule, the responsible examination committee will ask the responsible specialist representative for an opinion and follow the recommendation given in the report.
- If you start a course at the University of Kassel, you can not include that course in your learning agreemen
The examination board of a degree program may, upon request, decide on exceptions to these rules in justified cases.
