Excursion to Coherent

Students on the “Magnetic Components” course were able to gain exclusive insights into the development and production of excimer lasers during an excursion to Coherent. Not only a key technology for the production of displays, but also for the miniaturization of circuits and therefore indispensable for modern power electronics. However, lasers also require power electronic and magnetic components, which showed the students the diversity of power electronics and the associated wide range of requirements for specific applications.
